Idea of this venture came across when professional ladies , now homemakers, thought of coming back to business that can be done from home and involve other ladies and share their art with other.With this idea in mind we started with 2 ladies, then we grew into a group of 10 ladies within a year.

India is a land of various arts, the whole world has been fond of Indian art since ancient times. But we found that, in this era of modernization and industrialization, the essence of art is being lost.

Art be it any form done by hand takes time, and is unique which has made it difficult in the availability of it to the general public.

India is famous for its legacy and there is an old saying about it – 

कोस कोस पर बदले पानी,

चार कोस मे वाणी।

मील-मील पर बदले सभ्यता,

चार मील पर संस्कृति॥

Hunar in India has set up various stalls in Greater Noida for spreading its vision “Save the Art You Love”. We also participated in the Indian Trade Expo in Lima, Peru. We were highly appreciated and our collection was loved.

By Profession being an Architect had a dream of Sustainable Development of our Society, which can be done only by using sustainable products in a sustainable Process. Whereas Synthetic Fabrics which have captured almost the whole market leads to many harmful impacts on the environment. These Synthetic Fabrics Manufacturing process harms the environment and health of the workers in these factories. Also, the Finished Product harms the Skin of Users and leads to many Skin Diseases.

Despite these harmful effects of these materials, these materials are in the boom because of its low cost and easily available, like these, are made in industries and are manufactured in Bulk quantities.

Thus the main Motto of Hunar in India is to bring the Fabrics of India to the public at a very reasonable rate and available for touch and feel of materials.

Along with fabrics HII deals with Hand Made Bags, which are made by house ladies, who are full of creativity and Skills. HII also deals with hand made Eco friendly Wax Candles. All candles are made with Best eco-friendly wax – Paraffin and Bees Wax, which burns softly with Zero Emission of Carbon Monoxide and Less Smoke.
